Red raspberry's cultivars are mostly crosses of R. idaeus and R. strigosus. First year shoots should be tipped when they reach 24" to promote lateral branching. Fruiting occurs on 2 year old canes. Large red berries with superb flavor. Ripens midseason. Good disease resistance.
