Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf' (Chinese Redbud)

This is the first redbud cultivar released by the U.S. Arboretum. It was named in honor of the late Dr. Don Egolf, shrub breeder at the U.S. National Arboretum. Slow, multistem habit. Stems covered with rosy mauve flowers before leaves.
